Q1: The role of The Red Cross, is to provide resources of emergency relief for the devastated people, when disasters strike globally, for example, providing food for when there's a earthquake. And also providing shelter and warmth (depending on climate)
ReplyDeleteQ2: Some issues in Canada that the Red Cross has been involved, is a range of wildfires, hurricanes, floods, and so on.They do not impact much of Canada but these disasters can impact a large community of Canada, therefore, can still impact Canada itself.
Q3: Some issues that The Red Cross has been involved in is major earthquakes, floods, many known disasters, such as tornadoes, and tsunamis in the global community, for example The Red Cross contributed to slowly recover from the earthquake in 2010.
Q4: I think that The Red Cross is a very effective to responding to the needs of the global community because as stated in their website, they are prepared for unexpected disasters that will strike anytime, therefore in m opinion, they will be ready and most likely to be on time for when people are in need the most during a disaster.

Q1: The role of the organization red cross is to provide relief to communities who need support, whether it is teaching kids how to swim in a local pool , providing lunches for the community or saving people from burning buildings.
ReplyDeleteQ2: Some of the issues that involve red cross in Canada are things like providing food and shelter for homeless people who live on the streets, disaster relief when we had things like the ice storm, and helping out in the community delivering medical supplies such as wheel chairs and teaching at local community centres.
Q3: Some of the issues of red cross which effect people internationally are helping provide shelter and food for people who are homeless, helping people who have been affected by natural disasters. Also, they help provide clean drinking water and medical supplies to people who do not normally receive it.
Q4: I think red cross is effective in responding to the needs of the global community. I think this because, they provide them with the things they need to be successful, and helps them use those tools they give them. They are ready to help people and are prepared for anything. Therefore, that is why I think Red cross is a effective organization.
The role of the Red Cross foundation is to provide relief to people that are in need. One of their biggest role is what they describe disaster management, they also provide meals and health wellness in emergency situations. Some issues that they have been involved in, canada are some natural disasters such as wild fires an so on in these situation the provide meals and shelter to people in need. International issues that they have been involved in are also natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes and so on. The red cross foundation provides emergency relief in sudden situations. I think that this organization is very effective in providing relief. I think this because support local issues, international issues and, global issues. They provide relief in many areas and that is why I think that are an effective organization.

How effective do you think this organization is in responding to the needs of the global community?
The Red Cross organization also known as The Red Crescent exists in nearly every country in the world with approximately 97 million volunteers. Through my research I have learned that Red Cross has helped and supported many emergencies concerning peoples welfare and health worldwide.I think this organizations objectives are important and has helped a lot of people therefore being effective.

If there is a disaster in Canada the Canadian Red Cross will provide vital support such as family reunification, emergency lodging, reception and information, emergency food, emergency clothing, personal services.
Q3: www.redcross.ca- When the earthquake hit Haiti in 2010 the Red Cross has been actively providing Haiti with emergency relief and recovery efforts. They distributed more than 14400 tons of supplies and supported nearly five million Haitians i need.

ReplyDeleteLocally in Canada, the Red Cross tries to reach out to communities by getting them involved in different programs and services. But they don’t fail to respond to our needs as a community either, they are involved with floods, hurricanes, house fires and provide health services, water safety, and first aid programs. In addition, they focus on finding families, Violence, and Bullying and Abuse Prevention.
Globally, the Red Cross helps out with health programs, relief supplies, clean water and sanitation, and solving shelter issues for people affected by natural disasters or any other emergencies. Overall, the Red Cross focuses on “migrant and refugee services, finding families, International Humanitarian Law, Red Cross Youth, Violence, Bullying and Abuse Prevention, Worldwide Health, First Aid and CPR” (redcross.ca)
Overall, the Red Cross is effective when meeting and responding to the needs of our global community. Since the Red Cross covers a broad range of services, they can cover more issues and help more people. The services they provide range from disaster relief to raising awareness about bullying.
The role of the Red Cross organization is to support and teach others. For example, the red cross teaches those how to be a lifeguard. This person will now be able to help others in danger. Also, it helps those in need have a better easier life such as when they provide a hot lunch for people who are hungry or who don't have the money to buy a healthy nutrisiouse lunch
Globally, The red cross provides a safe organization for any people who need it, wreather there being bullied or even when there is a chrisis natural or un natural disaster.
